Hand-painting tile is such a meticulous process that most tile painters hesitate to offer a full warranty.  Using emails, phone when necessary, digital camera and scanning, by the time I pick up a brush, I know exactly what you want, and you will be certain of what you are getting.

#2     I have 22 years experience painting with ceramic glazes.
Iapprenticed for 8 years with a ceramic sculptress and learned my palette.Because you do not see what your colorlooks like until it is fired in a kiln, you have to memorize each color, i.e.,its properties, transparenciesand firing qualities.  Glaze colors cannot be mixed like other paints, so a complete knowledge of  EACH separate glaze is necessary.  Sincethere are thousands of glazecolors, this takes some time and effort.

#3      I use only the true ceramic process.
Thetrue ceramic process is the bonding of color to the clay body, as opposed tochina painting which is a verylow-fired paint that bonds only on the surface of the ware, and is by its nature less durable.  When we dig up shipwrecks and ruins of old civilizations,true ceramic ware, along withgold, is the only thing that remains, and is the best evidence of our humanhistory that we have.
If you use another hand-painter, be sure to ask what process they are using. Many websites do not tell you they are actually china painting.  It is a far easier, less expensive and slightly less durable method of painting tile.

#4      All my work is One-Of-A-Kind and hand painted by me.
I useno reproductive methods such as stencils, decals, transfers etc.  You arebuying the unique custom work ofone American artist.

#5      Anything you can think up, I can paint.
I am the only hand-painter who paints ALL subjects, styles and motifs, in the myriad processes that ceramic offers.  People said that specializing would earn me more money, but I love to paint ALL the different motifs and styles, so that is my gift and my specialty.

#6      Ordinary prices for extraordinary work--this gives you extraordinary value.
Myrealistic style of painting murals is considered fine art, and takes at leasttwice as long to create as mostother styles you see painted on tile.  But my prices are very reasonableand do not reflect this increasein labor time.  I happen to LOVE what I do.
